Our Community Vision Council, along with the city of Elgin, has identified the following impact areas as vital for improving our community and working toward long-term change. - Education: Ensuring that the families in our community have the capacity to act as primary caregivers, with particular focus on creating home and school environments where children and youth have every opportunity to become literate, secure, and prepared for productive adulthood.
- Income: Promoting the ability of our community's residents to live independently and self-sufficiently to their maximum potential through opportunities for education, employment, and permanent housing.
- Health: Increasing access to quality, affordable medical, dental, and mental healthcare for all residents of our community.
