Classroom Assistant

Elgin Child and Family Resource Center

Duties: Read to children in small groups; be an extra set of hands to tie shoes, hold hands, an extra set of arms to give hugs; listen to children when they want to talk. Hours: Shifts available are Monday through Friday, 9:00 to 1:00 am and 3:00 to 5:00 pm. We would ask that a volunteer make a commitment to at least six hours per week, and make a one year commitment. You would have a regular weekly schedule. Requirements: You would be required to have a physical (including a TB test) at your own expense, as well as fingerprinting and drug testing.
